MURUNGIAlia

MURUNGI Alia

Age: 10

Class: P6

School fees: $50 per term/$150 per year

Murungi Alia humbly requests for $75 to support her go back to school. Though Murungi scored fifth position in a class of eighty six pupils and got promoted to primary six, she has already dropped out of school. Murungi was staying with her auntie who would look around for her school fees, though with difficulty. However, her auntie she was staying with passed away in October 2018. Alia started staying with her auntie after losing both of her parents to HIV/AID. In order to ensure that she gets scholastic materials, she made brooms from locally available cheap materials which she sold off to get $14 that was used to buy 12 black books and six pens. Murungis passion for school was seen in February 2019, when school started. She went to the teacher and pleaded not to have lunch from school since she was sure that no one would pay her lunch bills. Unfortunately, Alia has not paid any money on the school fees which is 50 dollars per term (10 dollars for books ,pens, ream of paper, toilet paper, broom and water plus 40 dollars school fees) hence 150 dollars for one year. In one month, Alia has been sent away from school three times, but she goes back without money and pleads with the school to be patient with her. She has managed to get scholastic materials and so requires 140 dollars to study in 2019 Alia humbly requests you to come to her rescue. Given your passionate heart, Alia humbly requests you for $140 to support her stay in school. Alia hopes to become a teacher when she grows up and her favorite subject is English.
